After much suffering the past 10 days for Buffa. she was released from her pain by God, not by a vet or man, but by God she is now free in heaven. Our world was blessed to have her here for 17 years.
A week after her 17th birthday, she began her downfall but has risen to be with Jesus now. The peace one receives as a christian is truly amazing. Years ago, when my 17 year old poodle, Jyoti, died, I was a "hot mess" because I did not have Jesus my savior. In a puddle almost every day and night crying and wishing he was back. There is such a huge contrast from then and now and God prepared me for Buffa to leave in seeing her suffer so much. Every night her sounds of crying were almost unbearable. I held her close to me, we were always inseparable and had I not seen her suffer & had I not been saved, it would've been much harder to let her go. Although Jyoti suffered in seizures for over a week, I didn't have that kind of peace when he left. It is only through faith that we can realize that our loved ones are at peace with the Lord. Without faith, there is nothing to hang onto. Whenever, I start to feel sad, the holy spirit wraps his peace around me and my heart stops being pinched, it softens and cools by his presence. I didn't have this with my previous dog, Jyoti, I wasn't saved then. I tried so many different belief systems and they were all a dead end. It is only when you have Jesus that you are truly protected and at peace. He is the only one that will have your back and I learned it the hard way. Just knowing she is in heaven with the Lord Jesus gives such great comfort. Its like your grandmothers quilted comforter that is made with so much love, only more.
